LOUVRE ABU DHABI - ART MUSEUM -TOURIST SPOT

             Louvre Abu Dhabi  is an  art museum  which is named Louvre under the agreement between the UAE and France.  Louvre is the name of “France’s largest cultural project abroad “.  The agreement permitted to use its name until  2037 , it was signed in 2007.  US $525 million  paid by Abu Dhabi for  Name Louvre  .        This museum is located on saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi , United Arab Emirates.  It is the First Universal Museum in the Arab’s World  .       Louvre Art Museum is the  largest art museum  in the  Arabian peninsula  which is measured about approximately  24,000 square metres (260,000 sq ft)  in size, with  8,000 square metres (86,000 sq ft)  of galleries.The final cost of construction is about  € 600 million  .         It is the beautiful  dome...

DHANUSHKODI-LAST END OF INDIA



     Dhanushkodi is a town at south eastern point of Pamban island of the state of  Tamil Nadu. Government of Madras declared Dhanushkodi as ghosts town unfit for living.This is the place which called as Last end of India.One of the tourists spot in Tamil Nadu

     Once upon a time this town plays a important role for trading have harbours and connect Sri Lanka. Dhanushkodi  was a commercial centre with a railway station, a custom office, post and telegraphs office, two medical institutions, one railway hospital, a panchayat union dispensary, a higher elementary 

school and port offices


RELIGIOUS BELIEF

       The town of Dhanushkodi is believed to be the place where Lord Rama had ordered Lord Hanumana to build a bridge which could carry his army across to Sri Lanka, where Demon King Ravana had kept Sita captive. As ordered, Lord Hanuman had obliged and it was here that the Ram Setu was built by the Vanara Sena


DISASTER HISTORY OF DHANUSHKODI

         On 17 December 1964 tropical depression formed at south Andaman sea.On 19 December it strengthened as a cyclone storm .Then it moves westwards as a straight line crossed vavunia in srilanka .On the night of 22-23 December 1964 , the cyclone storm hits Dhanushkodi  

at wind velocity of 280 kilometres per hour 170 mph.waves were 7 meters (23ft) high. 1,800 people died in the cyclonic storm on 22 December including 115 passengers on board the Pamban-Dhanushkodi passenger train.

       After 40 years of cyclone on December 2004, before tsunami merged part of the Dhanushkodi reappeared. Receded about 500 metres (1,600 ft) from the coastline.

    


TOURIST SPOT

      The winter months from October to February are the best time to visit Dhanushkodi. During Summer it’s little much hot.If u enjoy hot, Dhanushkodi is best place for visit at any seasons except monsoon because during monsoon Dhanushkodi experience heavy rain and thunderstorms.
